First of all: a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the comic!
– everyone I’ve chatted with at cons, fairs and such
– the rather grand contributors to Issue 3
– the stores who proudly stock local comics
– the good folk at ownaindi
– all those who’ve provided reviews and publicity (something I’m terrible at), and
– to YOU, obviously. You’re reading this post, read the comics and are still here. Thank you!
I try to have a bit of a gap between issues, to charge the battery and (more importantly) ensure my family still talk to me.聽聽But it’s 2018 and Issue 4 won’t write itself, so it’s back at it!
Here’s hoping you all have a great year!
Cheers.
Fun in Toowoomba!
Another TooCon done and dusted. Fantastic day! A big thanks to Angela for organising the event. Can’t wait for the next one.
I’m celebrating with comics, naturally.聽😊Now reviews/edits/touch ups and so forth. More to come. Thanks for everyone’s patience!😀
A little comic cross-pollination! Dr Mike 2000’s art will be adorning the next issue of Deathship Jenny, and some of mine will make an appearance in his trippy sci-fi epic, Universe Gun!
Here’s my effort. The character’s names are Venus and Agni (cat)
A big thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday at Ace Comics for Free Comic Book Day! Lots of meeting new people, talking comics, art, animation and loofahs, and drawing – lots of drawing!
Rather than inktober (when I was too busy to do it), I’ve had a Daily Draw project for January.
My boys nominated a topic each day to draw, and I’d allow myself an hour to draw it. I don’t know many of these characters, which was why I asked my kids to come up with the suggestions – to push me in new directions!
A big thanks to Toowoomba Library’s Angela Morgan, not to mention Todd Baillie and the gang at Kaboom Comics for organising such a great event! Only just starting to recover from it now!
A massive thank you especially to all the fantastic people I met on the day. Some great conversations and drawing requests.I don’t think I’ve drawn so much in a single sitting.
DSJ#2 is now well and truly launched! Hurrah!
For the 200th(!) OzComics Challenge!
Well done that man Darren Close for hitting such an amazing milestone!
Get your geek on!
Had a great day wandering around with the boys, especially meeting up with all great people in Artist Alley. Great fun!
A personal highlight for this Supanova was meeting artist Art Adams. Slightly star struck. He was very patient as I constantly tripped over my tongue forming sentences.
